Flagship of the Alfa Romeo range, the Alfa 166 wants for nothing.
Within its gorgeous shape and stylish contours lie all the attributes you'd expect
of a luxury car - and nore besides.
The Alfa 166 is every inch a prestigious executive saloon, yet at the same time
its sporting cedentials are obvious.
Its style and looks are reminiscent of a coupé, with a long, rakish bonnet and
compact rear end, whilst its wheelarches are slightly flared to enhance its look of
power, grip and stability.
Viewing the car from the front, its entire body seems to 'emerge' from the traditional
Alfa Romeo shield and the classic badge.
Either side of this, two chrome strips divide the air intakes and lead outwards to the
headlights, whilst at the top, two sculpted contours trace a comet-tail shape in the
bonnet back to the front pillars.
The passenger compartment is perfectly proportioned within the overall dimensions of the Alfa 166, adding to its visual harmony.
Then for aerodynamic reasons, the rear end tapers away, producing an even more pronounced impression of strength and agility.
This is finished off with tail-light clusters that are set like gems in the boot section.
